A. I grew up in New Jersey and never left. I graduated from West Orange High School and Rutgers College.

A. There's too many to list! But I am a sucker for 80's music, classic rock and alternative rock.

A. Forrest Gump!

A. The Muppet Show. Too bad it's no longer on TV!
Q. How would you describe your life in only 8 words?
A. Fun. Funny. Full of love. Busy. Always learning!
Q. What is your motto or maxim?
A. Laughter is the best medicine.
Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?
A. Perfect happiness is being surrounded by the people you love. Also, I believe the key to being truly happy is being content with what you have rather than always chasing after something more.
Q. What’s your greatest fear?
A. Heights. I get nervous on the second floor of my local mall, where the railing is glass and I can peer down into the shopper's abyss below.
Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?
A. The beach!

A. I always use the word "just". Why can't I just get over it?
Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?
A. I would love to be able to sing well enough so people don't run away screaming when I open my mouth.

A. Being someone others can rely upon.

A. Honestly, I love being me.

A. Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl.

A. I love being creative and I enjoy designing jewelry in my spare time.

A. This is it! I always dreamed of being a children's author.

A. Sense of humor, generosity, integrity.

A. Roald Dahl, Judy Blume, William Steig, Joyce Carol Oates, Tom Perrotta, Ken Follett
Q. What are your 5 favorite books of all time?
A. I enjoy reading a wide variety of children's books and adult fiction, so it's difficult to pin it down to just five! But here goes...Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (and Six More) by Roald Dahl, That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown by Cressida Cowell, CDB! by William Steig and Heat by Joyce Carol Oates.
Q. Is there a book you love to reread?
A. Any Dahl or Oates short story collection. I also read "The Best American Short Stories" anthology every year and reread them often.
Q. Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?
A. The more you write, the better you write.
