Gail Nall lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her family and more cats than necessary. She once drove a Zamboni, has camped in the snow in June, and almost got trampled in Paris. Gail is the author of the middle grade novel Breaking the Ice, the coauthor of You’re Invited and You’re Invited Too, and the author of the young adult novel Exit Stage Left. Q. Is there a book you love to reread?

A. I reread Les Miserables and Gone With the Wind over and over and over as a kid. Now, I love going back and rereading the Harry Potter series.

Q. Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

A. Be persistent and don't give up!

Q. Where did you go to high school and/or college?

A. I spent my life in the Catholic school system of Louisville, Kentucky, and then graduated from Bellarmine University. Then grad school and law school at University of Louisville.

Q. What were your previous occupations?

A. Ice skating rink jill-of-all-trades; preschool helper; restaurant table busser; department store clerk; medical records clerk for an eye doctor; graduate assistant in the university history department; lawyer; yup, pretty much everything!
