Gail Nall lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her family and more cats than necessary. She once drove a Zamboni, has camped in the snow in June, and almost got trampled in Paris. Gail is the author of the middle grade novel Breaking the Ice, the coauthor of You’re Invited and You’re Invited Too, and the author of the young adult novel Exit Stage Left. Q. Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

A. Be persistent and don't give up!

Q. Is there a book you love to reread?

A. I reread Les Miserables and Gone With the Wind over and over and over as a kid. Now, I love going back and rereading the Harry Potter series.

Q. Where did you go to high school and/or college?

A. I spent my life in the Catholic school system of Louisville, Kentucky, and then graduated from Bellarmine University. Then grad school and law school at University of Louisville.

Q. What is your favorite movie?

A. I love any good historical epic (I may have seen Titanic 9 times in theaters), and pretty much anything with John Cusack. Also, teen classics such as Clueless, Can't Hardly Wait, The Breakfast Club, and Say Anything (John Cusack!).
