Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Never say with eight words what you can say with nine. I don't really do mottos.

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. Self depreciation that I consider both polite and funny but people can mistake for modesty. I'm not modest at all.

Q. What are your 5 favorite songs?

A. Bach's prelude in C# major from the Well-Tempered Clavier. Where Are We Now? by David Bowie, A.D. 2000 by Erika Badu, Me and The Devil by Gil Scott Heron, Happy by Pharell Williams?

Q. What is your greatest achievement?

A. Getting published. Damn it was tough but now it's happened nobody can take that away. Hurray!

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. I think perfect happiness is an oxymoron. I'm not looking for perfect anything. I do have a strategy for happiness though and it is as follows: Clear my head - that means tidying my space, sorting out my tax or dealing with personal stuff. Then I go in search of adventure, it can be anywhere and in any form and doesn't even have to be new, but it often involves getting post and situations where I don't know the outcome. Then I make stuff - writing a book, doing a drawing... There's often difficulty finishing stuff I started that requires fairly brutal self discipline but when it's done I'm happy and proud. Then I start again.
