Bea Johnson has been shattering preconceptions attached to a lifestyle of environmental consciousness through her Zero Waste lifestyle. She regularly opens her home to educational tours and the media, and she has appeared in segments on the Today show, NBC and CBS news, Global TV BC (Canada), and a mini Yahoo! documentary. Bea and her family have also been featured in print publications, including People, Sunset, the San Francisco Chronicle, as well as The Huffington Post, MSNBC, USA TODAY, Mother Nature Network, among others. They live in Mill Valley, California.

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Never go to the same place twice

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. I agree with Mahatma Gandhi that 'Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.'
I am most happy when engaged in an outdoor activity with family and friends.

Q. What’s your greatest fear?

A. I am a frigophobe! I am afraid of being cold... so I tend to carry an extra layer.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. Laura Dekker, a 14yr old who completed a sailing voyage around the world solo. She epitomizes courage and determination.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. Antartica, before it disappears!
