Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. "Why am I so tired?"

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. "Interesting." Which is so not interesting!

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Coffee. Because then you don't even need food.

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. I would love to be invited to a party at Bloomsbury, discuss writing and art with Virginia Woolf, and then have her lean over and whisper "YOU REALLY GET IT." And then we'd all have tea.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. It's a tie between Virginia Woolf's adventurous, freaky-deaky Orlando and Louisa May Alcott's bookish Jo.
