A. The act of loving and being loved... a balance of having basic wants satisfied but still wanting something profound & sublime.

A. Waking up with no memory and no sense of self.

A. I'm pretty happy where I am.

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. I wouldn't say I identify with her... but I am interested in, feel sympathy with, and enjoy reading about Willa Cather.

A. Honestly, too many to list. When I used to race triathlons, I did a few races where Team Hoyt competed. I would have to say that I admire them tremendously.

A. Waiting until my thirties until I started writing seriously.

A. I'd like to play the guitar well.

A. I hope that I haven't yet reached that point.

A. I tend to be rather a creature of habit.

A. I like to clean.
