Rachel Doyle is a freelance professional embroiderer and embroidery teacher. After gaining a degree in textile design, Rachel’s embroidery direction changed when she joined the Royal School of Needlework (RSN) as an apprentice. Her three years of study at the school introduced her to many new forms of embroidery and gave her a new approach to her work. She continues to teach courses at the RSN and also embroiders for the school in their commercial studio working on new commissions as well as textile conservation and restoration. As a freelance embroiderer, she also takes on private commissions and continues to design and work new embroideries.
