Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Semper Gumby (Always Flexible) It's our family motto.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional villain?

A. Richard III from the Shakespearen play of the same name. He's just evil. How many villains can propose to the widow of a man he killed. That's evil.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Working as a Nanny, or playing with my nieces and nephews.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. I would love to be a costume designer. Not normal costumes, but the really big fantasy pieces.

Q. What do you regret most?

A. I most regret a double fudge brownie ala mode I ate in April of 1983. It gave me food poisoning the day of my Senior Prom. I especially hated missing it because I had blood poisoning for my Junior Prom! But I like to say that my date that night was "Ralph."

Nashville has been ravaged by flood. The rallying cry has been three simple words.

We are Nashville.

Five months after the flood, more than half of the homes affected are filled with families again. Because we are Nashville, we help each other out.

Kingston Springs Elementary School was closed in May after it was flooded with more than six feet of water. After three months of hard work and donations of individuals and companies like Simon and Schuster, the school opened on time, welcoming children with a clean safe building and new books.

We are Nashville.

Let me just start by saying, I am not a blogger.  I just live with the very realistic belief that no one is particularly interested in my life.

But, having said that, in the spirit of Halloween, I will share my one and only Ghost Hunt.

I went to college in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee.  And when I say the middle, I mean Murfreesboro is the exact geographic center of nowhere.  We had the obelisk to prove it!  (We also had some weird cult from California who said that it was the geographic center of the Universe, but that's another story.)
