Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?
A. If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I'd be in St. Martin sitting on the white sands of the beach looking out into the vast blue waters.
Q. With whom in history do you most identify?
A. Recent history is what has had the most significant impact on my life and that is with the election of Barak Obama. I most identify with Michelle Obama. First off, she's a Capricorn, like me! She's strong, resilent, classy, focused, and stands by her man. Do ya thang, girlfriend... excuse me Madame First Lady!
Q. Which living person do you most admire?
A. I most admire my mom. She's a poet and performing artist and one of the strongest women I know.
Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?
A. Ummm....Oh hells no!...For real...
Q. What do you regret most?
A. Honestly, there are probably lots of things I would've and could've done differently in my life so far, but regrets...nah! I don't think one should live their life in regret.
Q. What is your greatest achievement?
A. My greatest achievement was stepping out on faith and writing my first novel. It's been like a whirlwind since and the books just keep coming.
Q. What’s your greatest flaw?
A. My greatest flaw is that I'm very trusting of people sometimes and I'm also very anxious

A. My smile
Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?
A. Wonder Woman!
Q. Who is your favorite fictional villain?
A. I hate the villains!
Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?
A. If I could meet any historical character I'd like to meet Rosa Parks. She was strong, smart and beautiful and changed history. She lit a spark that started a fire in the Civil Rights Movement as an African American woman

A. A guy with a goofy laugh

A. Honesty, Trust, Compassion

A. I'm a big 80s and 90s old school r & b fan so I know I'm dating myself, but my top five songs are "Ain't Noboby" Chaka Kahn, "Knee Deep" Parlament Funkadelic, "I'm Ready" Kano, "Hypnotize" The Notorious BIG, "Jamaica Funk" Tom Browne"

Q. Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?
A. Challenge yourself with each new book you write and put yourself on deadline even without a publishing deal...and like Blue would say in The Come Up ..."don't stop the hustle"
