Isaac Marion

Isaac Marion grew up in the mossy depths of the Pacific Northwest, where he worked as a heating installer, a security guard, and a visitation supervisor for foster children before publishing his debut novel in 2010. Warm Bodies became a #5 New York Times bestseller and inspired a major Hollywood film adaptation. It has been translated into twenty-five languages worldwide. Isaac lives in Seattle with his cat and a beloved cactus, writing fiction and music, and taking pictures of everything. Visit IsaacMarion.com for more on these endeavors.

Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Every experience, good or bad, is a priceless collector's item.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Assuming you mean occupation as in an activity, not a job, I'd have to say drinking good beer with good people is hard to beat.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. On a beautiful mountaintop with a beautiful woman in my beautiful 1976 GMC motorhome.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Well, it used to be"author" but now that I've landed that one...I dunno, maybe running a school for kids that have superpowers due to bizarre genetic mutations? Oh and also I'd have superpowers too.

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. I say "arbitrary" way too much these days. I guess I'm just noticing how many things we take for granted as fact have no real basis in reality. They're just...arbitrarily decided.
