Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. "In essentials, unity; in other things, liberty; in all things, charity." (slightly revised from Richard Baxter)

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. If this could be a fantasy superpower, maybe something that could be called "teleteros" -- the power to observe molecules and cells at work in the mind's eye -- this would speed up science and medical diagnosis! Of normal human talents, Shou-Ching would like to play the piano; Paul would like to be able to sing along.

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. In speaking, Paul: "uh," "you know"; Shou-Ching: "dumb," "ridiculous," "great," "awesome."

Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

A. Ourselves -- we are fond even of our faults! But if Shou-Ching had to be a thing, she would be the Himalaya mountains: they stand tall and endure.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. Paul: David Copperfield. Shou-Ching: Santa Claus
