Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. "In essentials, unity; in other things, liberty; in all things, charity." (slightly revised from Richard Baxter)

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. On a tropical beach (it is now a rainy December day in Boston!)

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. Shou-Ching: Paul's most noticeable trait is his wisdom. Paul: Shou-Ching's most noticeable trait is her generosity and courage; like the US Marines there is "no better friend."

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. Paul: Jesus, thank you! Can you break gluten-free bread tonight?

Shou-Ching: Madame Curie, I admire your courage and devotion to science. Do you know that exposure to radiation will kill you?

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. If this could be a fantasy superpower, maybe something that could be called "teleteros" -- the power to observe molecules and cells at work in the mind's eye -- this would speed up science and medical diagnosis! Of normal human talents, Shou-Ching would like to play the piano; Paul would like to be able to sing along.
