Q. What is your motto or maxim?
A. I used to think I wanted to be a serious artist. Then I realized I didn't want to be a serious anything.
Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?
A. Being surrounded by beauty and excitement and the people I love, having grand adventures, being constantly inspired but always staying hungry for more.
Q. What is your greatest achievement?
A. Surviving teenagerhood to become a functional adult.
Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?
A. I would love to hang out and drink absinthe with all the debauched writers and artists in Montmartre in the mid-19th century. "Pass the absinthe," is probably what I would say the most.
Q. With whom in history do you most identify?
A. The uppity women artists with swagger. Georgia O'Keeffe, maybe.
