A. I like The National. I also love Blondie.

A. Writer, artist, lover, fighter, daughter, granddaughter, feminist, FUN!

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Beauty fades but crazy lasts forever. (Thank you, Lee Anna Woodcock of Atria fame!)

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. I really like a balance in life, but I like to do things intensely too, so perfect happiness for me be a few months of intense, sweaty, fun work, followed by a solid month or more out in nature - maybe in Maine on a lake - paddleboarding, watching wildlife, with family and friends.

Q. What’s your greatest fear?

A. I don't have children yet, but losing one is still my biggest fear.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. On holiday with my whole family, in the English summertime.

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. I really feel for women of the past who had so little freedom. I'm very grateful to be living in our times.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. My Grandad, my Mum, my Nan, and my Dad. I am a homebody.

A. 'Awesome' and 'sorry'.

A. Trust your instincts - and write someplace where they don’t have wifi.

A. I get this often, and it's the #1 best thing about Golden Boy, when lgbtqia young adults and teens get in touch to say that Max meant something really special to them.
